Privacy Policy

Effective: July 30, 2026

Overview

Shuka is an independent service for discovering LGBTQ events and organized activities. This policy explains what information Shuka processes when its ChatGPT plugin connects to the Shuka backend.

Information processed

Shuka processes the event-search criteria and tool inputs needed to answer a request, such as dates, city, venue, event type, and event names. When a user approves indexing a verified public event, Shuka may store the submitted public event details and source links in its shared event database.

What is not added to the shared index

Shuka does not intentionally add private conversations, personal information, or private event details to the shared event index. Only verified, publicly available event information should be indexed.

Operational data

The service may process limited technical information, such as request identifiers, timestamps, authentication status, and error logs, to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the service. This information is not used to build advertising profiles or sold to advertisers.

Third-party services

Shuka runs through ChatGPT and may link to organizers, venues, ticket providers, and other public sources. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.

Data correction and removal

Requests to correct or remove indexed event information can be submitted through the support page. Please include the relevant event and a public source supporting the request.

Changes

This policy may be updated as Shuka evolves. The effective date above will be changed when material updates are made.
